Colombian marriage and fiance visa services, marry in Colombia or with a fiance visa. If you are marrying a Colombian lady and need assistance with the marriage in Colombia or need a fiancé visa we can help! | U.S. Fiance Visa information plain & simple without the unnecessary mumble jumble! | Visa Service provided by Colombian Services www.Colombian-Services.com | After reading the following information If you would like us to begin the visa process, or marriage in Colombia process please complete the order form Colombia U.S. Fiancé visa processing form below | Please Note: Colombian Services has many years experience processing U.S.A. fiancé visa's for those marrying Colombia citizens, we do several a month and we are VERY up to date with the requirements and latest questions your fiancé will be asked (and possibly you if you attend her interview) during her Embassy interview.
We have on going practical hands on experience, we do not copy information from other websites as others have done from ours here in Colombia and the U.S.A., to be done properly there is much more involved than what you will read about on a website or even in the instructions you can receive free from the USCIS.
Below you will find some helpful information about a foreigner obtaining a U.S. tourist visa, about marrying a Colombian women in Colombia, and marrying using the U.S. fiancé visa. Most western countries follow similar requirements for fiancé visas and the requirements are the same for all countries when marrying in Colombia.
To fully cover all necessary information for either visa is very lengthy and detailed but the information below should help you decide which direction you wish to proceed in and give you a general idea of the requirements and costs. | U.S. Tourist Visa | You cannot marry a Colombian woman using a tourist visa. If you do this is considered marriage fraud and carries heavy penalties for you and your fiance, you could face heavy fines and imprisonment and the fiance would be deported and denied any future visa. Why? The answer is very simple, if she is traveling to the U.S. (or any country) for marriage and traveling on a tourist visa she is not a tourist, you both are both being dishonest, simply look in a dictionary and look up the words "tourist" & "fiancé", there is a specific visa for both with different requirements, plain and simple.
Why is it so difficult for foreigners to receive a U.S. tourist visa? The reason is most do not meet the requirements and cannot prove they will return to their home country.
About 98% of those applying for a tourist visa will be denied, to receive a tourist visa they must have a good paying job, money in the bank, own property and prove they will not become illegal and a burden to the U.S. & U.S. tax payers. THERE IS NO SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM for a tourist, they must receive a tourist visa on their own merit and qualifications.
This makes sense to me, I'm a U.S. citizen living in Colombia and hold a Colombian resident visa, I had to qualify to live here with the same requirements and the Colombian government is not exactly the most efficient in the world when it comes to getting something done.
The reason U.S. citizens can easily enter foreign countries using only a passport is simple, we all have jobs, credit cards, property, bank accounts etc, the hosting countries know we will be returning home. The few countries that do require tourists visa's for U.S. Citizens must simply pay a small fee, show documents an explain why they are traveling, unless you are a criminal, entry is seldom denied.
Everyone whines about illegal immigrants and illegal immigrants illegally working in the U.S. Canada etc. until they want to marry someone from another country, then they feel they are being abused because their fiance cannot just hop on a plane and take up residency.
Every illegal method you can imagine has been tried for bringing a girlfriend into the country for marriage or a visit. The USCIS knows all the tricks, it's best just to follow the guidelines, do it legally and wait for the process to be completed.
There are two ways to marry a Colombian women, we provide the services and the help. | Information for marrying using the U.S. Fiancé Visa | The best method preferred by most is the fiancé visa. To file a fiancé visa you must be a U.S. citizen and have met the lady in person before you apply for the fiancé visa, both must be single and eligible to marry, and yes, you both have to give documented proof of everything you submit to the USCIS.
The fiancé visa allows your fiancé a 90 day stay into the U.S., if she is not married before the 90 day visa expires she must return to Colombia. Fiancé visas are being approved in about 6-8 months from the time the petitioner sends in the documents to the USCIS until the visa is issued. If you live in the Vermont service center area, in the past it has taken half the time for processing, however now there is a double work load at all service centers and is taking longer. How the Fiancé visa process begins if you are using our service: After we receive payment we then mail your fiancé a packet in Spanish, in the packet we will be giving her instructions and asking for all the information, documents, supplemental documents etc. we need from her to complete everything required by the USCIS and for the interview at the U.S. Embassy in Bogota Colombia.
This first step can be the most difficult for the ladies, locating everything they need and doing everything properly as required by the U.S. government can be a chore for them, the time frame for completing this part depends on how quickly your fiancé can return everything we need and return everything CORRECTLY, sometimes this can take several weeks, you will need stress to your fiancé that she is working with the U.S. government NOT the Colombian government, and they except no errors, documents not completed properly, or documents completed so so, or "mas o menos". After she returns the information we requested and we verify everything is complete and has been done CORRECTLY as the USCIS & Bogota Embassy request, we will them mail her some forms we have processed for her to sign, she signs the forms and sends them back to us, we verify all of her documents received are correct, and then send everything to you. A few weeks into the process you will also be receiving e-mail attachments from us explaining everything you will need to do with her documents and how to begin preparing your documents for sending to the USCIS.
We will also help your Colombia fiancé here in Bogota if she needs help with any of the forms she will be receiving from U.S. Embassy here in Bogota Colombia. Here is an estimated cost of a fiancé visa. (the costs are spread out during the processing period and some depend on the exchange rate) $475.00 Our fee $455.00 USCIS filing fee $110.00 Embassy fee when she has her appointment. This fee seems to change. $115.00 Medical fees. (blood test, exam etc.) $ 47.00 Mailing fees from us for sending documents. (charged to your credit card) $ 10.00 Fiancé visa photos. $1,212.00* Total (spread out over several months)
*While something unknown could always arise to add another cost for the visa, one thing could be if there are children involved and the father does not give written permission for the child to leave the country, then there could be some attorney fees. Also, if children are involved and the father does give permission for the child to leave Colombia, I recommend the letter be drawn up by an attorney. We offer an attorney here in Bogota Colombia that can help and will only charge you Colombian prices if you are using our service to help with the visa. | Information for marrying in Colombia | We no longer are helping with the process of marring in Colombia because of the hassle of working with Colombian notaries and the Colombian government, we would have to triple our fees and even that would not be worth the hassle and aggravation.
However, we can tell you that if you must marry in Colombia the waiting time can be longer before your fiancé arrives in the U.S., and dealing with Colombian notaries and the government is time consuming, 3 different people will give you 3 different answers, but if you wish to marry in Colombia here is some information to help you get started. Have your fiancé contact a notary in the city you will marry in, ask the notary about ALL documents that are required for both. Stay with the same notary because each notary will probably tell you something different, even the same notary may request more documents after giving you a list several months before, or for some reason claim something else is needed or has changed.
